Airbus: Fly Your Ideas

In 2017 Armenian Military Aviation University, in collaboration with “Improvis” formed a team  that took part in the competition organized by Airbus. The participants were from Armenian Military Aviation University and the Armenian team was led by Improvis Aerospace and Defence’ CEO Aram Baghiyan․

The competition which had a symbolic title "Fly your ideas" encourages students worldwide to activate their pioneering spirit and innovate for the future of aerospace. Teams entering the competition had to propose ideas about visual diagnostics of the plane. Accordingly Armenian team with the joint effort of improvis' specialist and Aviation university come up with the project which aimed to develop an intelligent system for aircraft maintenance providing reliable diagnosis, analysis, and accurate prognosis of airframe technical state. 

We are pleased to announce  that the project created by the Improvis team and Aviation University was appreciated by the competition leaders and the Ararat team was one of the 50 teams out of 356 that advanced to the next round. It is vital to mention that the Armenian team was the only one in the whole Caucasus that overcame the challenges of the first round and passed to the second one. There were four teams from Turkey and seven from Iran, but they didn't manage to pass the second round. At the same time, Azerbaijan and Georgia had no representatives at all.

                       

The fact that the Armenian team advanced to the next stage was not the only achievement. Airbus usually holds ongoing competitions for teams that overcome the barriers of the first round.
