Starting in 2020, Improvis' Gyumri branch initiated and established the training Centre for Informatics and Olympic Sports Programming, which is unique in its nature in the Shirak region. From the very first day of its establishment, its mission has been to balance the asymmetry of Yerevan and regions students' achievements both in Armenian and international Olympiads. The courses in the group are held exclusively on a free basis, moreover, the students who have shown high progress are awarded a scholarship in the amount of 10,000 drams.
Admission is done in 2 stages. Groups are formed as a result of the written exams and interviews and coaches who have already won medals at international olympiads are appointed.
The Olympic lessons are open to all students of the Shirak region. For more information, visit Improvis' website and Facebook page. To join the courses of the programming centre, enrol at the following link. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1YTfcokmcTQ2UIruE13F-x2C5Fl9rrZGxQfeBPQ5T4mE/edit

It should be noted that in recent years, only the students of our centre from the participants of the regions of Armenia have been able to receive 3rd class medals on the third stage of the olympiad, competing with students from the schools of Yerevan with rich Olympic traditions (see Diagram 2).

At the annual Jhautykov International Olympiad, we had two participants (Zhora Unupoghlyan and Gevorg Boyakhchyan) from the Improvis Olympic team and we should proudly announce that both of them received bronze medals, at the same time Zhora Unupoghlyan ranked first in terms of points out of 12 participants representing Armenia.

It should be noted that based on the results of the International Olympiad, the students of our centre got the right to continue their education in the Armenian state universities free of charge without entrance exams.

The vision for the coming years
In 2022–2023, we plan to increase the number of students to 60 and maintain the dynamics of development in accordance with the previous 2 years, trying to increase the quantitative and qualitative indicators of medals.

Summary
None of this would have been possible without the hard work of students and coaches and the dedication of Vahagn Altunyan, Hakob Kirakosyan and Levon Muradyan. We express our gratitude and congratulate the students and coaches of the centre, as well as all the individuals who keep the torch of the Olympic movement bright.
